A VPS or Virtual Private Server is a virtual operating system (or instance) that resides inside a physical server and shares resources with other virtual servers. Since each VPS features its own Operating System (OS), it receives a specific share of resources from one physical server so they are isolated, unable to interfere, and can be separately rebooted.
A VPS is similar to a Dedicated Server but the resources are allocated between individual instances. Although it’s the most expensive option, Dedicated Server gives you sole access to all the resources available.
